Even with the many boba shops in the Bay Area,  Happy Lemon in Cupertino definitely stands out with their unique drinks! One of their most popular drinks features a cheese foam! It sounds really weird to have a sweet milk tea drink with cheese foam on the top, but it's so delicious. If you've ever tried milk tea with sea salt foam on the top, you'll definitely fall in love with these cheese foam drinks too. At other places, you need to make a slit in your cup in order to drink the foam drinks correctly, but it's so much more convenient at Happy Lemon, since they have special cups for their foa...

Livermore is a gem in the east bay that has fantastic wine and food options. Today I happened to be passing through Livermore and needed a place to get a quick lunch. I used yelp to find a good spot to try out. When I searched restaurants in downtown Livermore, my attention automatically went to Middle Eastern place called Petra. It had 542 reviews and a perfect 5 star rating. I use yelp pretty often for food, so I know it is pretty rare to find a restaurant that is 5 stars with so many reviews. I knew immediately that I had to try it out.

When I entered the restaurant I was instantly overcome...

Grilled meat and veggies, how could you go wrong? That is precisely what this place is, grilled food to an absolute perfection. Citra grill is yet again another healthy option in downtown Walnut Creek. Many of their dishes are grilled with the “highest grade of fresh meat, vegetables, and seafood.” These are then skewered on a wooden stick and flavored with olive oil and citrus juices (hence the name). Everything is made to order. There is no reheating or microwave cooking here. In fact, the kitchen is wide open with a big grill in the center so you can watch your dish being grilled and prepar...

Next time you are in downtown Walnut Creek give Lettuce a try! It is a fantastic spot to grab lunch while you are out shopping for the day. It is known locally for its amazing selection of salads. The produce is brought in from local farms and made with the best quality ingredients!

Lettuce is one of the healthier salad options you will find in Walnut Creek. It has a wide selection of salads, ranging in a variety of different flavor combinations. Craving some Mexican food? How about the chipotle chopped salad with spicy chicken, ripe mango, corn, black beans, goat cheese, and your choice of hou...

Downtown Walnut Creek has a new restaurant called True Food Kitchen. It has a wide selection of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The menu is based on an anti-inflammatory diet. Many of their dishes include fruits, vegetables, grains, and sustainable proteins to help aid inflammation in the body. With many inflammatory diseases on the rise (i.e. Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, fibromyalgia, etc.) it is refreshing to see restaurants like True Food Kitchen incorporating healthy options for people to go to.

Luckily, healthy doesn’t mean the taste is being sacrificed! True Food Kitch...

Not every major city has a Koreatown and Los Angeles is especially famous for their version. If you are craving high quality Korean food, this is your #1 destination outside of Korea for quick, delicious and insanely affordable meals. There are a lot of great restaurants in Ktown that are already famous. For example, Ktown has many all you can eat Korean Barbeque places (Chosun, Quarters, etc.), tofu soup places (BCD Tofu House), etc. I want to introduce you to some hidden gems that are not as famous as their neighbors but are still worth trying!

1. Grab a morning coffee at Alchemist Coffee Pro...

A couple days ago, I was working from home and didn't have time to cook lunch. I really felt like trying something new this time, which is a rare occasion for me since I like to stick to the tried and true. Postmates was having some surge fees, so I switched over to UberEats and scrolled down the list. I saw a restaurant called Spice Kit and their 'Korean Bowl' item looked really good. It contains seasoned rice, red leaf lettuce, cucumbers, kimchi, marinated bean sprouts, and their signature ssam sauce. Unfortunately, it wasn't detailed what 'ssam sauce' consists of, but I looked it up and it...

One of the easiest meals to order online is definitely Thai food. Ever crave pad thai or pad see yew? Thai noodle dishes fit nicely into these black containers which can be easily transported without fear of any mess or leakage.

The Tenderloin area of San Francisco is full of various Thai restaurants. I have ordered pad thai and pad see yew from multiple places in the Tenderloin and none hold a candle to Kyu3's price and quality.

In addition to Thai food, Kyu3's menu offers other dishes inspired by Japan, Korea and Laos.

Kyu3 is my go to Thai restaurant because I feel it is the best bang for yo...
